Ambassador Harry K. Thomas
Jr. has expressed optimism that
the Diosdado Macapagal
International Airport (DMIA) has
the potential to become the
Premier International Gateway
of the country.
"I am extremely impressed by the developments at the airport, it is a first rate airport and has tremendous
potential for the future," Thomas said during his visit at DMIA on June 18, 2010.
Thomas also said that "Clark have shown its potential especially DMIA in transparency and free from
corruption."
"It will be a modern airport. It will attract foreign investments, how your airport looks and how efficient it is,
free from corruption and transparency and I think your making a great contribution to the Philippines and we are
honored to be at the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport," he stressed.
"This is my first trip outside Manila and we wanted to come here (DMIA) to see the tremendous economic
developments going on and the potential for American investments and helping to create opportunities for
international business." He added.
Thomas was met by Clark International Airport Corporation President and CEO Victor Jose I. Luciano, Clark
Development Corporation (CDC) President and CEO Benigno Ricafort, CIAC Executive Vice-President Alexander
Cauguiran, Vice President for Operations and Business Development Romeo N. Dyoco and Vice President for
Administration and Finance Lauro Ortille at the DMIA Terminal.
